Nike releases the Kobe Aston Martin shoe

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Kobe’s viral video jumping over an Aston Martin in his Nike Hyperdunk’s has spawned a new pair of Hyperdunk’s to be released this spring. The Kobe Bryant Aston Martin DB9 will be limited to 500 pieces so collectors will have to hurry. Osneaker has the shoe on pre-sale but with the $700 price tag and just like an Astin Martin, we may have to just admire online!

Adidas matching kicks and 80’s video game

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Adidas recently released the adiGames ZX 500 where the upper portion of the shoe is primarily black patent leather with the exception of the signature Adidas stripes and the midsole. The midsole is made up of a vintage bright blue, green, and red to give it that old school video game feel. To partner the release of the adiGames ZX 500, Adidas has also created the video game “ZX Runner” which included in the packaging of the sneakers. The game is, of course 80’s style where you play the role of DJ Zed and he tries to tries to get to his midnight set on time. We love how Adidas has allowed us to travel back to the 80’s virtually and with our fashion all in one purchase!

HUPBOX has announced its new, clear shoebox to store your favorite sneakers. The clear design is meant to provide quick and easy access to your sneakers and can be purchased at http://www.HUPBOX.com/ At Addicted Culture, we understand the convenience that the HUPBOX is trying to offer, but at $40 a box we wonder if sneaker fans will be willing to ditch their original packaging for the sake of organization?

Beatles meet the Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan meet the Beatles

Monday, February 1st, 2010

After the success of the “White Album”, Tom Caruana has put together and released the “Magical Mystery Chambers”, a mash-up of the Wu-Tang Clan and the Beatles. Its an interesting mix of Wu-Tang Clan lyrics and samples from various Beatles songs. At first it may seem strange to hear the likes of Ol’ Dirty Bastard against the harmonies of familiar Beatles songs, but it does create an interesting mix. If you haven’t heard it yet, check out at http://www.teasearecords.net/wuvsbeatles.cfm to hear it for free. We’re interested to hear what you think.
