President Obama and Addicted Culture??

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

The Obama family, particular Michelle, has already been labeled as a new style icon and we all love her ability to pull it off under a recession budget. Though articles and interviews about Michelle’s wardrobe have been impossible to miss, a blog posting from the New York Times brought President Obama’s style to our attention.   It points out that Obama will rock his “Ray Bans, white high tops” which I suppose makes sense knowing about his love for basketball.  The Times even references President Obama’s to Kanye!  Bold statement.

In the end, this article made us wonder what President Obama would look like in an Addicted Culture tee?  Imagine President Obama in his “Addicted to Sneaker” shirt with his one-button jacket and stunna shades.   Then he would definitely be Kayne-esque.   Sounds interesting.

Behind the scenes: Photo Shoot

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

Addicted Culture has officially LAUNCHED! Everyone on the Addicted Culture team is very excited and we know that you are too. We have been working so hard these past months to get to where we are, and just seeing our hard work become a reality has been surreal and amazing.

One of the days that the team worked especially hard was on the day of our photo shoot. It was a nice Los Angeles day, the sun was shining and everyone had a great time… even though it got pretty crazy at times; helping the models through hair and make-up, outfit changes, weather issues (it got pretty hot!), and picking the right locations was not an easy task. We photographed our models, all rocking our Addicted Culture gear, around the streets and buildings of Downtown LA to capture the essence and culture of the city. In the end all of our hard work and effort was worth it because the photos came out great! (Thanks to our lovely models and awesome photographer.)

Just take a look for yourself! The finished photos can be seen in our Spring 2009 Lookbook. And these are some exclusive behind the scenes photos of our photo shoot that I took the day of the shoot:
