Adidas recently released the adiGames ZX 500 where the upper portion of the shoe is primarily black patent leather with the exception of the signature Adidas stripes and the midsole. The midsole is made up of a vintage bright blue, green, and red to give it that old school video game feel. To partner the release of the adiGames ZX 500, Adidas has also created the video game “ZX Runner” which included in the packaging of the sneakers. The game is, of course 80’s style where you play the role of DJ Zed and he tries to tries to get to his midnight set on time. We love how Adidas has allowed us to travel back to the 80’s virtually and with our fashion all in one purchase!

New Burton board for sale (well not really a sale)
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009Burton released a new snowboard for the 2010 season with a graphic based on a collaborative Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat piece. The board boasts NASA quality enhancements and “brings the best out of anyone who gets on it” (burton.com). And though we LOVE the design and assume its technology makes it a smooth ride, the hefty price tag of $1,200 makes us want to either hang it on the wall or just leave it for the pros.
Board decor
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009The guys at Skate Study House have been able to create fun and innovative furniture with the use of recycled skateboard materials. They have designed lounge chairs, tables and hanging hooks with boards, wheels, and bearings. Based out of Newport Beach, all pieces are made in California and are second hand objects combined with custom parts. We love that the Skate Study House will allow us to bring skateboarding into the home decor…and not just in a college dorm room look sort of way, all while being environmentally friendly! Check out some of our favorite pieces:
