Beatles meet the Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan meet the Beatles

After the success of the “White Album”, Tom Caruana has put together and released the “Magical Mystery Chambers”, a mash-up of the Wu-Tang Clan and the Beatles. Its an interesting mix of Wu-Tang Clan lyrics and samples from various Beatles songs. At first it may seem strange to hear the likes of Ol’ Dirty Bastard against the harmonies of familiar Beatles songs, but it does create an interesting mix. Baron Davis bring us through NYC

We are lovin’ this fun music video of Baron Davis dribbling his way through NYC. Obviously Baron Davis in the title attracted us to check it out but don’t miss the cameos from Common, Jim Jones, Irv Gotti and DJ Clue. We loved the trip through NYC … it is amazing the diversity of people that Davis met along the way. You have to love the rapport he built through his basketball; as long as he’s back in time for the next game!

Trends that “Run this Town”?

Earlier this week the Jay-Z’s video Run This Town featuring Kanye and Rihanna, was released in anticipation of Jay-Z dropping his next album, Blueprint 3. The secrecy of the shoot got us especially interested to see what each artist would be wearing considering the group of trend setters it features. Of course, Rihanna didn’t disappoint…she was donning some fashion forward sunglasses that completed the apocalyptic, gangster-esque look that we loved!!! And though we immediately wondered who designed the shades, it did cause us to question if these shades, like many trends out there, will remain for celebrities only and miss the mainstream appeal. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see….

From Hip-Hop to High Fashion

Have you seen the collection of sneakers designed by Kanye West for Louis Vuitton? Reaching out to a much different target audience than the usual Louis Vuitton buyer, the Kanye West collection has definitely created a bridge between high fashion and hip-hop.

The line is very colorful, and uses the iconic images of the Louis Vuitton brand. This should be an interesting addition to the sneaker world and definitely seem like a must have for all sneaker connoisseurs.
