It was recently announced that Marvel and Airwalk will be teaming together to launch a line of apparel, accessories and other various merchandise. Airwalk, the action and board sports brand, seems like an ideal fit for generations of character franchises created by Marvel. The line is set to be released in the second half of 2010 and we haven’t seen any samples at this time. We’re excited to see how the two brands merge together as we anticipate that the partnership should help the individual brands draw in a new set of fans. Stay tuned for more details, or let us know if you have seen any samples of merchandise or the logo!
To prepare for the release of their new album Plastic Beach, the Gorillaz released their music video for their single, “Stylo”. In usual Gorillaz style, the innovative video features CGI characters in a car chase with Bruce Willis. (Yup, you heard that right) The single also features Mos Def and Bobby Womack. Check out the video in anticipation for the cutting edge fun that the Gorillaz will have in store for us next week with the release of Plastic Beach.
Kobe’s viral video jumping over an Aston Martin in his Nike Hyperdunk’s has spawned a new pair of Hyperdunk’s to be released this spring. The Kobe Bryant Aston Martin DB9 will be limited to 500 pieces so collectors will have to hurry. Osneaker has the shoe on pre-sale but with the $700 price tag and just like an Astin Martin, we may have to just admire online!
Check out the video if you haven’t seen it already.
Adidas recently released the adiGames ZX 500 where the upper portion of the shoe is primarily black patent leather with the exception of the signature Adidas stripes and the midsole. The midsole is made up of a vintage bright blue, green, and red to give it that old school video game feel. To partner the release of the adiGames ZX 500, Adidas has also created the video game “ZX Runner” which included in the packaging of the sneakers. The game is, of course 80’s style where you play the role of DJ Zed and he tries to tries to get to his midnight set on time. We love how Adidas has allowed us to travel back to the 80’s virtually and with our fashion all in one purchase!
